KDHS Car Raffle
Congratulations! to Richard from South Perth. Ticket number 546.
The Kulin District High School P&C & School Board would like to thank everyone who purchased a ticket in our raffle to win a brand-new Kia Cerato 2.0 Sedan Sport+ valued at $35,000.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNER! Ticket number #546 Richard Cramp from South Perth.
Since winning the raffle, Richard and his wife Karen have generously donated $1,000 toour School. Thank you Richard & Karen - we are so grateful.
The Raffle was a huge success with a profit of over $30,000. Proceeds from the raffle will fund future Belongingness Camps for Kulin DHS high school students. The Belongingness Camp, held early in the year, is a key initiative
designed to build school culture, foster camaraderie among high school students, and enhance their sense of belonging within the school community.
Students attend the Dare Adventure Camp in Dwellingup. The camp focuses on promoting teamwork, improving communication skills, and meeting new challenges. Activities are designed to build confidence, trust, leadership,
resilience, decision-making, and communication skills. The camp also offers students and staff an opportunity to form strong, trust-based relationships and allows emerging leaders to showcase their abilities.
The KDHS P&C & School Board recognise the camp’s vital role in fostering a sense of community and personal growth - so want to ensure it is accessible for every student. By fully funding this camp, the raffle proceeds will remove any financial barriers for families, ensuring that all students can participate.
Huge thanks to the Kulin Bush Races Committee for their support - the Bush Races provided short term funding to purchase the car. Thanks also to Countrywide Insurance who insured the car for the duration of the raffle and to Serge Lucchesi for the use of his car trailer.
Thanks to our amazing school board members who contributed their time selling tickets, picking up and dropping of the car etc. To Garry, Tess, Megan & Mel for their help at school. And finally to the amazing Yvonne Bowey for the significant amount of time and effort behind the scenes to ensure the raffle was a success.
Regards, Fiona Murphy - Board Chair
