Students at Educational Risk Program
Parents are encouraged to be involved in the collaborative planning and decision making to improve educational outcomes for students with learning and behavioural difficulties. At Kulin we do this through parent interviews and case conferences to jointly plan Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) for students at risk.
Parents who have a concern about a child’s progress at school can contact his/her teacher to make an appropriate time to discuss the matter. At this time the SAER Coordinator may be present to record information and make suggestions as to other support that your child may require. A date will be set to review any Individual Education Plans that have been made at this time. This is an ongoing process that will continue throughout the child’s school year.
